GILMER/UPSHUR COUNTY (KYTX) - According to scanner reports, authorities are responding to a plane crash near Gilmer.

The crash occurred west of the Gilmer/Fox Stephens Field Airport. Authorities are responding the plane as white with blue trim. The plane had two passengers, and one is waving to firefighters at the scene, according to the scanner.

The Tyler Morning Telegraph is reporting that the crash happened in the area of Apple Tree Road in Upshur County. That is west of the airport across Texas 155 and a railroad line.
