LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A 17-year-old Longview man this weekend incurred his third arrest for theft since April.

Longview police arrested Kendall Rashid Dixon at 1:18 p.m. Saturday at Sam's Club, in the 3300 block of North Fourth Street, according to online police records. Store personnel told police that Dixon tried to take more than $1,400 in merchandise from the store, including two computer laptops.

Dixon recently served a 60-day sentence in Gregg County Jail for a June 8 conviction on misdemeanor theft. If convicted on his latest charge, he could face up to two years in state jail.

Dixon remains jailed today on $5,000 bond.
