Kimbley parents arrested for child endangerment

Posted: Updated:

SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - Smith County detectives arrested David and Sabrina Kimbley Thursday afternoon, each on 13 counts of child endangerment.

In a media release, the Smith County DA's office said a grand jury returned indictments and arrest warrants against the parents of 2-year-old Jake Kimbley, who was found dead in a septic tank near his parents' home this past week.

The arrest followed a hearing in which the Smith County District Attorney's Office successfully argued to keep those five children in foster care and  bar their parents from visiting them.

The Kimbleys are still under investigation for possible capital murder in the death of 2-year-old Jake Kimbley last week. They are in the Smith County Jail on $1.3 million bond each.
