Two men removed from RNC after incident involving CNN camerawoman

TAMPA, Fla. (CBS TAMPA) - Two people attending the Republican National Convention were removed from the premises  after throwing nuts at an African-American camerawoman working for CNN.

While attacking her, they were quoted as saying, "‘This is how we feed animals."

CNN corroborated an initial rumored report on their CNN Politics website Wednesday morning.

"Multiple witnesses observed the exchange and RNC security and police immediately removed the two people from the Tampa Bay Times Forum," the post read.

The article additionally quoted CNN representatives as saying, "CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment."

David Shuster, a Current TV journalist and talk radio host on "Take Action News with David Shuster," broke news of the incident to his approximately 45,000 followers on Tuesday night.

"GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American [sic] CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals,'" a Tweet written by David Shuster reported.
