(KCEN) - BP Oil company will be donating a big chunk of cash to Hurricane Isaac relief efforts.
They plan to give one million dollars to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
Agencies in Louisiana and Mississippi will each receive half of the donation.
Those states were battered by Isaac's wind and rain this past week.
BP said it's also assisting employees and their families in flooded areas.
Two years ago a BP Oil rig exploded in the Gulf spilling millions of gallons of oil before being capped.
