HOLLY LAKE RANCH (KYTX) - The Holly Lake Ranch Volunteer Fire Departments tells CBS 19 that dive crews have found the body of an East Texas teenager on the bottom of the lake.
Crews on scene said the boy and his sister were swimming across the lake, when the girl got to the other side of the lake and realized her brother did not make it.
It took crews hours to recover the body. Family friends at the scene tell CBS 19 the boy was a junior football player at Rowlette High School. He and his sister were visiting his grandma who lives in the Holly Lake Ranch Silverleaf resort.
Family friends say his parents have now been notified.
Holly Ranch Lake security is leading the investigation and have no further comments at this time. Stay with www.cbs19.tv, we will bring you more information as it becomes available.
HOLLY LAKE RANCH (KYTX) - The Holly Lake Ranch Volunteer Fire Department has confirmed with CBS 19 that crews are on the scene of a drowning on Holly Lake Ranch.
The department could not confirm much information, but say there are a couple of dive teams in the lake now, and that they are being accompanied by DPS and the Wood County Game Warden.
