Arrests made in Longview, Kilgore for assaults on public servants

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Authorities jailed two men this weekend for attacking law officers while resisting arrest.

Adan Olvo Saldierna, 49, of Longview, was arrested Sunday by Longview police for resisting arrest and assaulting a public servant. He was released from the Gregg County Jail on $11,000 bond Sunday.

Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said an officer suffered an injured hand in the skirmish but was treated and released from a local hospital.

Johnny Lee Jackson, Jr., 52, of Kilgore was arrested Friday by Longview police for theft, resisting arrest and assaulting a public servant. He remains jailed today on $16,000 bond.
