LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A 39-year-old Garland man with a lengthy history in the Gregg County Jail has returned to the facility this weekend on multiple charges from three separate counties.

On Sunday, Longview police arrested Kalvin Kyle McCown on felony theft, drug possession and failing to identify himself as a fugitive by giving officers a fictitious name. He had four outstanding warrants as well: bond forfeiture for having a prohibited switchblade in Gregg County, disobedience of a child support warrant in Upshur County, and failing to ID a fugitive from justice in Harrison County.

He remains in the Gregg County Jail on $17,750 bond and $414 in traffic fines. This is McCown's 10th arrest in Gregg County since 1996 on charges ranging from vehicle theft to drug possession.
