SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CNN) - Bladimir and Marita Agnite have been rich for the last month, but they didn't know it.

We came to state lottery headquarters because this week, for the first time ever, the lottery released pictures outing a lottery winner before the ticket was claimed.

Lottery officials had video of Bladimir Agnite buying the $52 million megamillions ticket, scanning that ticket at least 3 different times to see if it was a winner.

The lottery said it released this video because it wanted Agnite to claim his winnings.
