EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - High pressure aloft will dominate the weather across East Texas this week, so look for temperatures to reach 100 degrees more than once through Thursday.

Skies will be mostly sunny with not much chance for rain.

A big change is developing for the weekend. A strong cold front will bring a chance of thunderstorms Friday night and Saturday. There is a possibility some of the storms could be severe. The air behind the front will be much cooler dropping temperatures below normal into next week.
