BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (CNN) Drew Peterson was found guilty of murder by an Illinois jury in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.

The former Bolingbrook, Illinois, police sergeant was charged with first-degree murder in Savio's death in the bathtub of her home in 2004.

Investigators first ruled the death was an accident, but the case was reopened in 2007 when Peterson's fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, went missing. Stacy's whereabouts are still unknown, and Peterson is not facing any charges related to her disappearance.
