LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Cookies, cakes and pies for Longview's finest.

Residents of a senior living community took time to show appreciation for local firefighters. Active seniors from Buckner Westminster Place filled Longview Fire Station Number Six with the aroma of pizzas and sweets. The treats coincided with the anniversary of September 11th.

"It just means so much because we appreciate everything that they do," Buckner resident Billye Early said. "We know that they come at anything we need or anything that happens, and we really do appreciate it."

Buckner residents say they are active in their community. They recently presented handmade dolls to children at a Longview women's shelter.
