FROM TYLER POLICE DEPARTMENT

On September 12, 2012 Officers responded to a burglary call in the 1000 block of Lindsey Lane. A citizen reported that a black male suspect had stolen several items from a vehicle parked at the residence. As Officers investigated, a subject fitting the suspect description was spotted nearby. The subject immediately fled on foot, abandoning a bicycle and several stolen nail guns. After a brief search and foot pursuit the suspect was taken into custody.

The suspect Herbert Leon Cain B/M 10/23/65 of Tyler was arrested and charged with Burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest.
