UPDATE: (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - Smith County law-enforcement officials confirm one fatality in plane crash near Lake Palestine.

 


 

UPDATE: (KYTX) -  Paul Trotter, a resident in Cumberland Ridge off Doggett Street tells us his wife heard what sounded like a plane coming down fast - almost on top of their house on Treasure Cove.

He says part of the plane landed in the street very close to Lake Palestine.

Residents are allowed to enter the neighborhood.


 

UPDATE: BULLARD (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) – Authorities are responding to a reported downed airplane on Lake Palestine in the Cumberland Ridge subdivision.

Smith County Sheriff's dispatchers confirmed information that civilians had reported a plane has crashed near a home on 15660 Pleasure Cove off Causeway Road just north of the Eagle's Bluff community.

Emergency crews are en route.

CHEROKEE COUNTY (KYTX) - Smith County Sheriffs are on the scene of a plane crash near the Cherokee County line.

The crash site is reportedly near 15600 Treasure Cove.

KYTX CBS 19 has a crew en route and will bring more updates as they become available
