Ragweed back in East Texas

Posted: Updated:

EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - If you've been sniffling or had itchy, watery eyes lately, you're not alone. Ragweed is back with a vengeance this year.

Allergists say ragweed seems high this fall because last year was so unimpressive. We had low pollen counts because the drought killed everything. But this year, the rain changed all, that and now, people are headed back to the doctor.

Allergists say nasal salines and over-the-counter antihistamines can help relieve allergy symptoms. If your symptoms get worse or won't go away, you should contact a doctor.
