Libya makes arrests over U.S. Consulate attack

Posted: Updated:

LIBYA (CNN) - American leaders overseas are on high alert following warnings from the FBI and Homeland Security Department.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi. Tuesday night's attack left four Americans dead, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. The attack was carried out amid a protest against an obscure movie filmed in the US that ridicules Islam and its prophet, Mohammed.

Protests are still underway in Cairo, Egypt where the first demonstrations about the film began.
