Killeen Apartment Fire Victims Identified

(KCEN) -- The three victims of the apartment fire have now been identified.

The first victim is thirty-three-year-old Kristy R. Moncrief.

The other two victims were Fort Hood soldiers who have been identified as Seth Micheal Soulsby and Christopher Micheal Sroka.

Private First Class Seth Micheal Soulsby is originally from Mogadore, Ohio and joined the military in June of 2011 as an infantryman. He was 19. He had been assigned to Troop G, 2nd Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood since December 2011.

Soulsby had several awards and decorations including the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Twenty-one year old Private Christopher Micheal Sroka also died in an apartment fire in Killeen on September 13. He is from Warren, Michigan and joined the military in February of 2012 as a wheeled vehicle mechanic.

Sroka had been assigned to Company B, 115th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood since August 2012.

His awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Both of these incidents are under investigation and the cause of the fire is still not known.
