TYLER (KYTX) -- A 15-year-old student at Robert E. Lee high school reported being hit by a school bus late Tuesday morning, saying it happened prior to the start of the school day.
According to Tyler Independent School District spokesperson Laura Jackson the student said the bus was turning along a horse-shoe shaped driveway when it hit him.
"It was very, very minor," Jackson said.
Jackson said the student attended a couple of classes before complaining of pain and informing administrators at Lee of the accident. At that point a nurse checked him out and sent him to a hospital as a precaution. Jackson said she did now know whether the driver was aware of or reported the accident.
The student's injuries were said to be minor. His exact condition is unknown.
The district is investigating the incident.
