LINDALE (KYTX) - The FBI has agents in the Philippines looking for a suspect in last weeks bank robbery in Lindale.
Neighbors can't believe someone suspected of committing such a crime was living so close to them and their families.
People who live in this neighborhood just west of Lindale call it quiet, most of them know each other.
That's why they can't believe a suspected bank robber called this area home.
"Dang, it's 2 houses down from me. It's a little disturbing," says Tony Glaz, who has lived in the neighborhood nearly his whole life.
He was surprised to hear 43-year-old Anthony Rios has a federal arrest warrant for aggravated robbery of the Capital One Bank last week in Lindale.
"See him walking out here in his yard a couple times, but that's about it," says Glaz.
"A team effort that solved it really quickly," says Sgt. Chad McElyea with Lindale Police.
Lindale police worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigations to identify and find Rios.
His 2003 Celica sits at Foshee's wrecker service as evidence, but Rios isn't even in the country.
"Recovered the vehicle at DFW airport and after working with the FBI and guys up at DFW, they were able to obtain info, we do know he left the country, he's in the Philippines," says Sgt. McElyea.
After he walked out of the door at the bank, it took investigators one week to figure out who Rios was and where he was, in big part to calls and tips from people who saw him on the news.
"We received several phone calls and several tips which we developed some pretty good leads on," says Sgt. McElyea.
Leads that lead them to Rios' house, and beyond while they still try to pinpoint his whereabouts.
