UPDATE: 9/24/12 7:45 am: Part of McCann Road is closed this morning. Longview Police tell us it's the northbound lanes between Meadowbrook and Baylor. Right now, they are not sure how long it will be closed.
UPDATE: LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview Police tell CBS 19 that McCann Road is expected to be closed until early Monday evening.
City of Longview spokesman Shawn Hara said they are repairing the leak before repairing the road, so most likely McCann Road will be reopened before Monday rush hour.
Traffic will be redirected through residential areas, so be prepared to tack on extra time on the drive to work in the morning.
LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview Police tell CBS 19 that there is a large water main leak that is causing traffic delays.
All five lanes are blocked on McCann Road between Meadowbrook and Glencrest. Traffic is being rerouted through residential streets. There are multiple leaks in the road and McCannon Road has buckled in several parts during the stretch.
Longview Police says there is obviously a leak under the road, and there appears to be a leak on Highway 80 at the American Dream Inn.
