Students not filling up at lunch

Posted: Updated:

LINDALE (KYTX) - There's a food fight nationwide over new school cafeteria guidelines.

The new regulations limit school lunches to 750 to 850 calories per lunch, among other rules. A high school in Kansas is speaking out against the rules through a Youtube music parody - stating they never get full.

Lindale ISD said they're following the rules and filling kids stomachs.

"The calorie, we're thinking about their obesity and that's very important, very important for our district to do and state because a lot of kids do not exercise and here we think education, exercise, and eating right."
