(CBS) - Researchers may have figured out how to help millions who take beta blockers get a better night sleep. The drugs help control high blood pressure - but in some people it also causes sleeping problems. A new study in the journal "Sleep" found melatonin supplements can significantly improve sleep in some of these patients. Melatonin is a chemical the brain produces when its time to sleep.

(CBS) - Eating cherries may stop the pain caused by gout. Gout is a type of arthritis that attacks the joints - most often the big toe, knee and ankle. Boston doctors found people who ate cherries had a 35 percent lower risk of gout flare ups. They believe the fruit lowers the inflammation that causes pain.
