TYLER (KYTX) -- Catholic leaders from East Texas will announce a new bishop for the diocese Saturday.

Jim D'Avignon told CBS 19 this would only be the fourth Bishop in the diocese's 25-year history. They'll be hosting an event at noon on Saturday, September 29 to announce and welcome the new leader.

That even is open to the public.
