Brook Hill students greet wounded warriors

BULLARD (KYTX) -- Students at the Brook Hill School greeted visiting military heroes who were visiting on behalf of the Wounded Warriors Project Friday afternoon.

Hundreds of kids lined streets near the school and waved flags in honor of men and women who came from all around the country. Then they heard from one of the veterans who said he never thought about what it would be like to come home a hero.

"We don't do it for the accolades," Army Sergeant First Class Willis said. "We do it because we're proud of what we do. But to see something like this where people get together from 10 to 65 and they tell you thank you and they've never seen you before, it's a beautiful thing."

The wounded warriors wrapped up their visit with a tour of Brook Hill's American Freedom Museum.
