(KYTX) - The second day of rain and strong winds is knocking out power all over East Texas. There are a total of 5,600 power outages across East Texas.
Right now, Oncor reports: 1,800 outages in Tyler, 1,200 people are in the dark in Palestine, 600 outages reported in Athens, 550 in Jacksonville, 40 in Whitehouse, and 1,800 in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area.
Oncor says crews are being brought in from Dallas to help restore power.
Crews have also been working throughout the day picking up power lines that have fallen or have started small fires in trees.
