That's a hopeful sign ahead of the government's monthly unemployment report which comes out on Friday.

(CNN) - A new feature on Facebook will guarantee your latest status is seen. The social network is allowing some users to pay a small fee to make sure their friends see their "can't miss" updates. Facebook's experimental "promote" feature costs around $7 dollars to bump posts to the top of newsfeeds. Right now, only a small amount of Facebook's 166-million U.S. users are able to take part in the trial run. Facebook has not yet said whether this will become a permanent feature on the site.
