LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Travelers from far and wide will trail up and down U.S. Highway 80 just for the opportunity, to get their hands on a bargain.
So I hit the highway too, to see what's offered and what has everyone getting out and about.
(what do you look for when you come out here to the sale)
"Everything, the prices"
But vendor Beverly Knapp has a different reason for selling her unwanted items in October and at the other Highway 80 sale in April.
"We do it twice a year to give us extra income since we're senior citizens."
For 3 days people buy and sell bikes, antiques, clothes, shoes and all types of items along the sides of the U.S. Highways 80
"Just pick you a spot and bring your stuff out." I've got my hands on some pretty new stuff."
Raul Zapata from the Habitat of Humanity is selling new items for the benefit of more than just himself.
"The money that we make goes back to habitat to build more homes."
Let's just say and whether you're earning money, or saving money, everybody gets a financial boost.
"Buying and selling."
"This is what I need to be doing instead of shopping but it's more fun shopping"
