JACKSONVILLE (KYTX) - One man is dead and another is in jail charged with capital murder.
Jacksonville Police say Jimmy Deshawn Mosely fatally shot Stacy Dewayne Hunter early Saturday morning. It happened at the club Hunter owns, Stacy's Club located at 2005 North Jackson in Jacksonville. Hunter's friends tell CBS 19 he was trying to break up a fight, when Mosely shot him. Police say he died on scene.
Police say Mosely turned himself into police at about 6:30 that morning. He has been charged with capital murder and his bond has been set at $250,000.
On 10 /20 /2012 at approximately 0410 hours,Jacksonville Police Department dispatchers received a 911call about a shooting at Stacy's Club located at 2005 North Jackson Jacksonville Texas. Officers from the Jacksonville Police Department responded and located the shooting victim STACY DEWAYNE HUNTER, B/M DOB 11/01/1968. Officers of the Jacksonville Police Department cleared the building and requested EMS to respond to the scene to provide medical care for Hunter. Hunter died at the scene and Jacksonville Police Department Criminal Investigation Division Detectives responded to the scene to conduct a homicide investigation. The witness to the shooting provided a description of the suspect who turned himself into custody at approximately 0630 hours. The suspect was identified as JIMMY DESHAWN MOSLEY B/M DOB 03/20/1988. Numerous witnesses have been interviewed in this case and the investigation is continuing. Mosley has been charged with Capital murder and his bond has been set at $250,000. He is still in custody at this time.
