Tyler, Texas (KYTX) -- Even though Americans tend to care most about issues closer to home, some say foreign policy could stand to be higher on our priority list.
"We certainly have to be aware of the rest of the world, there's a lot of world out there besides the United States," Kenneth Wink, associate professor of Public Administration at UT Tyler, said.
Wink says the handling of Libya will definitely come up again, as it did in the last debate.
"Romney has to be careful. As you saw last week, he misquoted the President. He has to emphasize that the administration was not very decisive those first 2 weeks," Wink said.
Wink believes Obama will defend his record. "I think the President will say things are moving in the right direction, and we've rolled back Al Queda in a number of places in the world," Wink said.
According to the latest polls, people think Obama is better with foreign policy by a 50 to 43 percent margin, but that lead has shrunk from 13 points before.
