LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Halloween will be the first day on the job for Gregg County's newest fire marshal.

County commissioners this week hired Chad Hogue to take the hot spot.

He replaces David Kidder, who is retiring this year. Commissioners set Hogue's salary at just over $42,000 a year and his office will be at the Gregg County Courthouse.
