KILGORE/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Hazmat crews are cleaning an oil spill along several roads in north and west Kilgore.
According to the Kilgore Fire Department, a truck was hauling an oil-filled battery from a location on Industrial Boulevard at Watson Road to a local junk yard.
The truck driver was unaware that oil spilled onto Industrial Boulevard, Old Gladewater Highway and state highways 42 and 31.
Fire officials are asking motorists to avoid the area tonight while clean-up continues.
