BOWIE COUNTY (KYTX) - On October 29, 2012 Bowie County Deputy Sheriff Scotty Taylor responded to the report of a reckless driver on I-30 east bound.  Deputy Taylor located the vehicle and observed the vehicle driving erratically.  Deputy Taylor stopped the vehicle a 2012 Dodge Durango and identified the driver as Jeremiah Laray Cooper.

There was an open container of beer in the vehicle and Coopers drivers license was expired and not renewable.  Deputy Taylor requested the assistance of Hooks Police Officer Rusty Hill and his K-9.  A search of the vehicle revealed two plastic bags containing pseudoephedrine pills which were found in the front passenger  floor area.  A total of 3,706 pseudoephedrine pills were removed from the vehicle.

Cooper was arrested for Possession, or Transport Certain Chemicals with Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance which is a second degree felony.  Judge Hadaway set his bond at $50,000.00.  He is currently in the Bowie County Jail.
