TYLER (KYTX) -- Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Paul Sadler headed to Dallas Tuesday night after a busy day campaigning across in East Texas.

Sadler started the day in Henderson. It's his home town and he took advantage of early voting at the Rusk County Courthouse Annex. After that he answered questions--casting himself as a moderate compared to republican opponent Ted Cruz.

"I have people all across the state--republicans and independents--coming up to me and saying 'he's just too extreme. I can't go that way,'" Sadler said.

Sadler spent the evening in Tyler talking with small business owners about job creation. They met downtown at Gallery Main Street.
