UPDATE: Westbound lanes of I 20 back open after fatal crash

UPDATE: Both westbound lanes on Interstate 20 are back open this morning after a deadly 2 car accident. It happened just before 9 last night in Smith County at Mile Marker 551, that's near the Hideaway Lake Exit. The driver of the truck going the wrong way was an 81 year old Lindale man. He was killed in the crash. The driver of the other truck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 


 

SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) -- DPS says one man is dead and westbound lanes of Interstate 20 are blocked off after a 3 car crash just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.  The accident is just west of the Hideaway Lake exit in Smith County near mile marker 551.  DPS says a witness called reporting someone was driving east in the westbound lane possibly causing the crash.
