LONVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Some students had a little *educational* twist added to their Halloween festivities today.

South Ward Elementary School in Longview conducted their first ever "vocabulary parade." students showed off their creativity by dressing up to represent a word that relates to subjects they are learning in class.

"I teach math and science, so we use science words like thermometer, precipitation, clouds volcano." "

"You look it up and after you know it, you write a good sentence for that word."

The staff hopes to make the event bigger and better for next year.
