Fire contained at Longview apartment complex

UPDATE: Longview Fire department contained a fire that started around noon at Regency Park Apartments Thursday.

One building with 8 units became engulfed with flames when some contractors working on the roof started the fire.

It took the 33 responding fire personnel about 40 minutes to bring the fire under control.

No one was injured during the fire or while fighting it.

Fire officials tell CBS 19 that about 12 people were displaced from their homes because of the damage to the building.

One dog did not make it out of the fire.

Red Cross also responded.

 

 


LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview Fire Department are on the scene of an apartment fire in the 700 block of Gilmer Road.

Longview Fire official tells CBS 19 that they got the call about a fire at Regency Park Apartments shortly after noon.

KYTX CBS19 has a crew en route and will bring more updates as they become available.
