Marshall man dies in fatal wreck on Loop 390

MARSHALL/HARRISON COUNTY (KYTX) - On Wednesday, at approximately 8:12am Marshall Police Officers as well as Marshall Firefighters/EMT responded to the intersection of FM Road 1998 and Loop 390 in reference to a two vehicle accident involving a log truck and a two-door passenger car.

Upon arrival to the location it was determined that the passenger car was traveling eastbound on FM Road 1998 and attempted to cross over Loop 390 and was struck by a loaded log truck that was traveling northbound on Loop 390.

The driver of the passenger car, David Joseph Belgard (DOB 01/24/1980) of Marshall was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall. Mr. Belgard succumbed to injuries received during the collision and was pronounced deceased by Judge Kenneth Alford

The investigation is on going.
