WEBSTER PARISH, La. (KTBS) - Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton confirms an explosion at the Go-Ex Plant at Camp Minden.

The explosion happened around 8:30a.m. Monday.
Louisiana State Police tell KTBS 3 News there was a small detonation inside an unmanned building. They say the extinguisher system was activated and the fire was extinguished.

Authorities say technicians are en route to follow up on what happened.
According to authorities, the explosion happened in a room at the facility where they crush black powder that is used in muzzle loaders.

Go-Ex has had explosions in the past and they learned from it.
Now they only crush small amounts and they don't allow anyone in the room when it happens.
There are no injuries to report.

Go Ex called and notified authorities immediately after the explosion happened.

A press conference is tentatively scheduled for 10:45am.
