Group seeks to expand alcohol sales boundary in Longview

Posted: Updated:

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A new group has formed seeking to expand the boundary in which alcohol sales are legal in the city of Longview.

Kimberly Fish, founder of the group Go West! Longview, announced today the formation of a special purpose political action committee called Longview United for Growth. The committee is asking voters to support limited alcohol sales throughout the city limits of Longview.

Under current ordinances, alcohol sales are limits to areas in central and south Longview, primarily from Hollybrook Drive south to the city limits, and from the Wildwood area and West H.G. Mosley Parkway east to the Harrison County line.

For more information, contact Fish at 903-738-7363. A petition has been set up at nine Longview grocery and retail stores.
