Rangers accept bid to play in inaugural Brazos Valley Bowl at Kyle Field Dec. 1
The Kilgore College Ranger football team has accepted a bid to play in the inaugural Brazos Valley Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Texas A&M University's Kyle Field in College Station.
Kickoff is set for noon, and KC will face the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers.
The game will be regionally televised on CW-8 from Bryan-College Station and also streamed online at www.iHigh.com.
Kyle Field is known as The Home of the 12th Man and has a capacity of 82,589 – the13th largest stadium in the NCAA.
The 11th-ranked KC Rangers (8-2) and the 13th-ranked NW Rangers (7-2) will meet for a third time in the postseason, with the team's splitting the last two meetings in 1965 and 1989 at the Shrine Bowl.
General admission tickets are $5 while 18-and-under are free and college students are free with ID.
