Kaufman Police Department:  Investigators from the Kaufman Police Department are investigating a bank robbery attempt that occurred on November 7, 2012 at the Wells Fargo Bank in Kaufman, Texas.

On November 7, at approximately 4:10 p.m., Kaufman Police officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2100 South Washington Street for a report of an attempted bank robbery. Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, and presented a note demanding money.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'7", wearing an orange t-shirt, with a logo of "If you met my family you would understand"! The suspect was also wearing an off white ball cap with a wide brim, with sunglasses on the hat. His hair was grey mixed with blonde. The suspect was wearing tennis shoes and dark pants and had scruffy stubble on his face.

Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photos obtained from the robbery attempt and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone who may have information about this case or the suspect involved is asked to contact the Kaufman Police Department, Detective L. Edwards at 972-932-3094. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Kaufman County Crime Stoppers at 877-847-7522. Crimes stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect who committed this crime.
