This is the story of Demontrai Lewis, last season's "Right Guard Defensive Player of the Year" in the entire state of Texas. He's a defensive end for the Lufkin Panthers and a player that has caught the eye of a lot of college coaches but difference between Demontrai and most other football players, is that he's deaf.
So far this season, Demontrai has eight sacks, 15 tackles for a loss and 53 solo tackles with 21 quarterback hurries. He has offers from New Mexico State, the University of Texas - El Paso, Arkansas State and Memphis, to name a few.
