TJC to host college fair Nov. 27

(KYTX) -Tyler Junior College will host the annual Tyler Area College Fair from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Gentry Gym, located inside the Ornelas Health & Physical Education Center.

The Ornelas HPE Center is located at the corner of Apache Pass and Palmer Avenue, on the TJC main campus.

Universities from Texas and several surrounding states will be present to meet with local high school students regarding college enrollment.

To date, schools scheduled to attend are: Abilene Christian University, Austin College, Dallas Baptist University, Hardin-Simmons University, Howard Payne University, Mississippi State University, Sam Houston State University, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University – Commerce, Texas State Technical College, Texas State University-San Marcos, Texas Tech University, Texas Wesleyan University, University of Alabama, University of Arkansas, University of Houston - Main Campus, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, University of North Texas, University of Oklahoma, and University of Texas at Tyler.

The TJC Admissions office will be on site to answer questions and distribute recruiting material.

The event is held with the assistance of the Tyler Independent School District and is part of the statewide Texas Association of College Recruiters and Admissions Officers.
