Upshur court tables plan to outsource IT operations

Posted: Updated:

GILMER/UPSHUR COUNTY (KYTX) - Upshur County commissioners today tabled a plan to outsource the county's Information Technology operations, according to County Judge Administrative Assistant Kristin Culberson.

The county is thinking of signing on with Dallas-based Inline Network Integration LLC for IT services. Two employees who have a combined 40 years' experience working for the county, including one woman who has worked for Upshur County 35 years, currently handle the county's IT services.

It is not known when commissioners will again take up the matter. They have scheduled a special meeting at 10 a.m. Monday, but the IT contract is not on the agenda. Instead, commissioners will decide whether to accept the resignation of the county's road engineer, according to the agenda.
