ELKHART (KYTX) - An Elkhart teenager dies and another injured from a one-vehicle accident Saturday morning.

According to the Palestine Herald, 17-year-old Cheyenne Elizabeth Franklin was killed when the pickup she was a passenger in ran off the road and flipped on Anderson CR 2101.

Jeffrey Wilson, 17, was also injured in the wreck and was transported to Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler where he remained stable, according to DPS.

Texas Department of Public Safety reports that the wreck occurred at 3:28 a.m. 3/10 of a mile from Texas Highway 294.

According to jail records, the driver, 17-year-old Hayden Blaine Gray of Palestine was arrested and booked in the Anderson County Jail, charged with intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.

Gray's bond was set at $150,000.

DPS Trooper Lynn Hubert of Palestine is investigating the wreck.
