We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY (KYTX) - It is unclear how long Farm-to-Market Road 1653, north of FM 858 near Martins Mill in Van Zandt County, will remain closed after an 18-wheeler carrying 500 gallons of gasoline overturned there this morning.

The tanker rolled over at around 10:40 a.m. today, according to Gary Corley, a lieutenant with the South Van Zandt volunteer fire department. The Department of Public Safety is still determining what happened, but appears the driver took a curve too quickly on FM 1653.

Another tanker was brought in to transfer the unspilled gasoline. A wrecker will attempt to take the one that wrecked away. Gasoline is in the nearby ditch, but it is unclear how much spilled.

Tyler hazmat personnel and TCEQ will determine the severity of the spill and what to do to clean it up. Other responding agencies included the Red Cross, Ben Wheeler Fire Department, the Texas Department of Transportation, the Van fire department and the Van Zandt Co Sheriff.

The driver was taken to a Tyler hospital by ambulance. He was conscious, but his condition is unknown.
