UPDATE: During the early morning hours of November 21, 2012, Longview police were dispatched to approximately 30 criminal mischief calls, all involving some type of damage to vehicles.

At this time the criminal mischief calls have been mainly in the area North of East Marshall Avenue and West of Bill Owens Parkway. Most of the calls involved vehicle windows being broken out.

Several cars were also hit with eggs or some other similar substance. The criminal mischiefs are believed to have occurred in the late night or early morning hours.

If anyone has information on this crime they are encouraged to contact Longview Police at 903-237-1199. If the person reporting the crime wishes to remain anonymous they can also contact Gregg County Crimestoppers at 903-236-STOP. Longview Police encourage anyone observing suspicious activity to call police immediately at 903-237-1170.

 


 

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Longview police are investigating criminal mischief complaints involving dozens of vehicles in North Longview.

Reports of damage to vehicles, mostly shattered windows, stretch from Judson Road to just west of Gilmer Road, and from Heritage Boulevard south to Fairmont Street.

Longview spokeswoman Kristie Brian said a media release on the incidents will be released this afternoon.
