UPDATE: 1 dead, 1 in critical condition from early morning shooting in Tyler

UPDATE: (KYTX) - The two people who were shot at the Hyena's Club have been identified as 26-year-old Keeston Dwone Fields and 33-year-old John T. Woods both of Tyler.

According to Tyler Police Department press release, Fields was fatally injured from the shooting and Woods is in critical condition.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. inside the club.

Investigators are still seeking the identification of the shooter and the motive. This case is now considered a Homicide.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.

 


TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler Police are looking into what led to a shooting that left two people injured this morning. It happened just before 3 at the Hyena's clubhouse on N. Grand -- that's near Texas College.

Officers learned that two people had been shot at this location and transported to Trinity Mother Frances Hospital by private vehicle. The status of the two shooting victims is unknown at this time.

Crimes against persons detectives were called to the scene and the investigation is on-going.
