Web Exclusive: The 12 Days of Christmas cost more in 2012

(CBS/CNN) - Cyber Monday will likely turn out to be the busiest on-line shopping day in history.

On-line shopping was up over 28% yesterday compared to Cyber Monday last year.  Sales from mobile devices, including tablets rose over 10%.  Retail and online sales trackers say by the time all the receipts are counted, cyber shoppers will have racked up $1.5 billion dollars in sales.

Nintendo's 'wii-u' console is flying off the shelves.  The company says it sold more than 400 thousand of the new touch screen controllers in its first week.  The 'wii-u' sells for about $300 bucks and Nintendo says sales are comparable to the original 'wii' when it was first released six years ago.

Buying all the 364 gifts named in "The 12 Days of Christmas" song will cost you more than it did last year.  According to the annual PNC Christmas price index, the grand total comes to more than $107,000, up 6% over 2011.

Blame the birds, musicians and jewelry.  Geese-a-laying are up more than 29% this year.  Three french hens and seven swans-a-swimming have also increased.  The survey says this year's drought drove up feed costs for the birds.  11 pipers piping and 12 drummers drumming cost 5.5% percent more this year. Five golden rings soared more than 16% thanks to rising gold prices.

If you're feeling thrifty, there is good news.  Six items mentioned in the song have stayed the same price.  They are: the partridge, two turtle doves, four calling birds, eight maids-a-milking, nine ladies dancing and 10 lords-a-leaping.
