Tyler police look for apparent shooting victim, possible suspects

TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler police are looking for the victim(s) and any possible suspects after an apparent shooting that happened Friday night.

The shooting happened around 11:40 Friday night. Tyler police responded to multiple calls that people heard gunshots in the 600 block of South Kennedy Avenue.

When officers arrived they discovered a large crime scene in the six and seven hundred blocks of South Kennedy. Officers discovered a blood trail leading to an apartment at 710 South Kennedy. According to the press release, police found a large amount of blood and bloody clothing inside the apartment.

As of Saturday morning, the victim has not been located and his/her status is unknown, according to Tyler police. There are no suspects in custody, and the case remains under investigation, according to the press release. 

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
